Since 2014, Psi Rho Alpha Visual and Performing Arts Honor Society, Inc. has supported collegiate art students and young professional artists evolve into educators, artists and businesses of their intellectual and creative destiny.

Psi Rho Alpha (PRA) desires to provide an environment and culture of leadership that empowers, connects, and esteems its members. Leadership is just one of the benefits that PRA provides its members and community.  By chartering a chapter, or taking the leap into this community with membership, sets the stage for impacting the community with art, igniting ones professional skills and network, it affirms artistic expression and elevates the awareness of employable skills within its members. Our core values: Academic and Creative Excellence, Creative Professional Integrity, Community Network, Creative Social Responsibility and Creative Innovation amplify the foundation of creative intelligence, which is the heart of this Honor Society.

PRA held its first Art Career Development Symposium in Charlotte, NC for the community and its members, on Nov 13, 2016.  The one-day event consisted of speakers, panel discussions by notable art professionals, entertainment, and a platform where students exhibited, performed, and presented their research to a professional audience. 

PRA endeavors to continue its early developments toward expansion and continued progression toward impacting college campuses across the country.
