Bold as Love: Jimi Hendrix at Home -Northwest African American Museum [temporary exhibit]

The Bold As Love: Jimi Hendrix at Home exhibition opened at the Northwest African American Museum delivering a personalized and “at home” experience of the renowned Jimi Hendrix. The visual presentation of color, narrative, artifacts, personalized memorabilia and inspired content exposed a sentiment of the artist only those who knew him personally could recall and for those who adored his impact on the world could share in the gem that was his life. Through family photos, personal belongings and the layers of the icons historic treasures, the exhibit crafted and elevated a personal view of Jimi Hendrix for Seattle visitors and beyond to cherish, learn and remember. The Bold As Love: Jimi Hendrix at Home exhibition received the Association of King County Historical Organization’s 2019 Exhibition Award.
