Delta Sigma Theta: Legacies of Love in Leadership -Northwest African American Museum [temporary display]

The Delta Sigma Theta: Legacies of Love in Leadership display, at the Northwest African American Museum (NAAM) was a celebration of two prominent African America women— Mona H. Bailey and Bertha Pitts Campbell. Two women who are giants in the hearts and minds of their families, community and thousands of women and sisters of the nationally and internationally acclaimed sorority, Delta Sigma Theta, Sorority Inc. Both individuals were at once national presidents of the organization and one, Bertha Pitts Campbell was also one of the 22 founders of the organization. The display was an honorable recognition of graphic design, artifacts, memorabilia, and articles that articulated contributions to the community, the organization and to the country. Both women who lived in Seattle, Washington championed a life of civic leadership, social activism, scholarship, and constant care toward bettering all who stood on the side of righteousness, fortitude toward women and the education of children.
